Read Part 1 on this title, before reading this.

You ask such questions only when you reach a desperate-peak in your life. A peak could be after an overwhelmingly pleasant life-experiences throughout. Or your life was a series of disasters - one after another and painful, and pushed you to the edge OR Sometimes, it could be a boring or repetitive life. And that gives an influx point.

Now, you want to know "Why, Why Me?". Yes, some of these experiences in your life push you so hard that you take a pause and ask yourself: "No matter how much I tried, why things happened beyond my control, even though I was on the 'right-side, doing the right things..." What are these strange unknown reasons, WHY?

You are at a dead-end or some sort of "I'm here now, so what & what next".

Most of you don't stop to take a moment to think, you keep trying, keep failing or succeeding. If you succeed, then next thing, then next... You keep moving to the next goal out of desire, not content at all! If you're given what you wished for, you ask for something more. When, that 'something more' was achieved, then something more...

Actually, you keep moving the goal-post, without a limit. Like Sadhguru says, "You won't settle even if you're made the King of the Universe, you will then look at the next galaxy, right?"

Why does this undying quest exist, in you? Have you every thought about why?

Well, you must pause and think. This quest is there because something in 'you' is only trying to ever-expand and to find a boundless nature of your true existence. Till that's achieved, it won't let you settle down.

This is the fundamental goal of every human being, that nature has planted in you. Whatever you run after - be it money, happiness or comfort etc., may give some temporary satisfaction. Again, you have to do something to get some more happiness and there's endless futile journey.

The longing to become a boundless Being will never let you rest and say "I'm done now". All the achievements are just small & big stepping stones to reach to this point!

Therefore, the HIGHEST TRUTH of your existence is to find who you truly are and your life's full expression. You are not this body, not the mind nor the world. You are not this small creature as you think you are; you're much more than what you can imagine right now. Your true nature can only be realised by going within yourselves and sitting in silence.

Through your consistent silent meditative practices, you can definitely gain the required spiritual wisdom. You are your 'true self', the Atma. And, you will slowly get insights coming from within as you sit in silence consistently. Yes, the inner Self must reveal itself, the mind can never get it. There's no entry for the mind and one cannot understand with the mind, "the feel of existence" or "is-ness" or the "beingness" or the Self or Atma. If someone says "I got it", then it's fake. When it happens, you will merge, you will become part of it; there won't be a separate "you" to claim "I".

Well, this doesn't mean that you will disappear. You will still exist, but you will cease to exist as apart from the rest of the universe. This is the maximum one can explain. As Rumi says: "You're not a drop in the ocean but a Ocean in a drop"

The following example, will explain the misunderstanding of illusory world & identification.

It's like this:

Adityavarna (Sunlight) - The effulgence of the Sun which is ever the same. The Sun never rises nor sets though it seems so, in relation to the revolving earth. Parmatman, the Self (our highest true nature) undergoes no modification even as the Sun does not.

There's a famous analogy by Sri Ramakrishna from Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna book, toward the end of Chapter 40:

MASTER: “…One can attain Brahmajnana (Boundlessness) by following the path of knowledge, that is to say, discrimination.… Jnanis (the realised ones) analyse the world through the process of ‘Not this, not this, not this.... all māyā. When the world vanishes, only the jivas (souls), that is to say, so many egos, remain.

Each ego may be assumed as a pot. Suppose there are ten pots filled with water, and the sun is reflected in them. How many suns do you see?”

A DEVOTEE: “Ten reflections. Besides, there certainly exists the real Sun.” …

MASTER: “All right. Suppose you break all the nine pots. How many suns do you see now?”

DEVOTEE: “One reflected sun. But there certainly exists the real sun.”

MASTER: “What remains when the last pot is broken?”

DEVOTEE: “That real sun, sir.”

MASTER: “No. What remains cannot be described. How will you know there is a real sun unless there is a reflected sun? …”

So, you assume and identify yourself with your body & mind. Generally, this is only after you cross around 4 years of age. As a child you don't hold that much identity with your body & mind and the world - and not so much problem. You were happy as a kid, you were naturally joyful, that's because your identification with the body, mind & world was not so strong.

So, now to some extent you understand the importance of your existence. The only purpose of your existence is 'the knowing your-Self' - nothing else.

How can you realise your self? Well, sit in silent meditativeness!

Find a quiet place, sit, close your eyes at least an hour a day to start with. Slowly, the you will ask for more and you will sit comfortably for hours together then. And as you mature in this meditative process, soak and marinate yourself in your Being, for a long hours, this body, mind, world identification will slowly disappear - and what remains is just Brahman (The Self - THAT WHICH IS NOT) or in other words, your boundless Existence, your all pervading, all permeating Presence - the true nature of your true Self.

Stop adding more and more knowledge, stop reading too much of spiritual books also. Too much reading and too many tips could be great hinderance as you will be only thinking about these things throughout your Silent sittings.

Meditation is not an action, you can't do it! But, if you sit simply in silence, you become meditative, you will then, soon feel & experience your Existence, ever-present peace & vastness. None of the worldly experience can replace this Shanti, the ultimate rest!

Initially, the mind will give you a tough time, put you through all kinds of drama, could be a roller-coaster ride too. Well, let it be, no problem. That's because, mind is scared now, cannot allow you to be at peace. But, you stick to the daily silence, very soon with your consistent effort, you will see yourSelf - for sure.

The key here is consistency in Silent & meditative sitting.
